Applebee's is offering a free meal on Friday, November 11 with seven mouthwatering entrees to choose from. Last year, the restaurants served 1,024,000 free meals to active service members and military veterans. Chili's is also serving up one of six meals for past and present veterans on November 11. If you get thirsty, visit Seven Eleven on November 11 for a free Slurpee from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Veterans in the Rochester, Buffalo and Syracuse areas can start their day off right at Denny's Veteran's Day Appreciation Event on November 11. Feast on a free Grand Slam breakfast from 6:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. Another option is a free doughnut on November 11 at participating Krispy Kreme locations. For lunch on November 11, head to select SUBWAY Restaurants for a free six inch sub or flatbread. Another lunch option is the Texas Roadhouse on November 11 from 11 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
The deals continue after Veteran's Day is over at Golden Corral. The tenth annual Golden Corral Military Appreciation dinner happens on Monday, November 14, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. For anyone who ever served in the U.S. Military. Over 2.5 million free meals have been served to veterans at Golden Corral. Another place to find discounts from November 7 through November 11 is Uno Chicago Grill. Veterans enjoy a 19.43 percent discount on non-alcoholic beverages and food.
Veteran's Day 2011 starts early at Outback Steakhouse with a week of free Cokes and Bloomin' Onions for military veterans and active-duty service members from Monday, November 7 through Friday, November 11. With a regular drink purchase at participating Hooters, veterans can score 10 free boneless or regular wings on November 11. Visit a participating T.G.I. Friday's on November 11 for buy one, get one free meals with proof of service.
Stores Offering Veterans Discounts
It's Veteran's Day all the time at both Home Depot and Lowe's. These stores offer a 10 percent military discount everyday. At Home Depot, the 10 percent discount on Veteran's Day is for reservists, active duty personnel, retired military, veterans and their families. Everyday at Home Depot, retirees and active-duty get 10 percent discounts but not all veterans.
From November 7 through November 11, Lowe's offers a 10 percent in-store discount to active, honorably discharged, reserve and retired military personnel and their immediate families. The daily discount is offered to active duty military members but not veterans, much like Home Depot.

Several major parks are offering free admissions for Veteran's Day 2011. Anheuser-Busch parks offer active-duty service members free admission with up to three dependents once a year including Sesame Place, SeaWorld and Busch Gardens parks.
All weekend, appreciate free admission to Colonial Williamsburg for active-duty, retirees, veterans, reservists and immediate dependents. Tickets are only available on-site from Friday, November 11 through Sunday, November 13. There is also free admission fo the weekend at areas managed by the National Park Service, which includes over 100 parks. Additionally, free weekend admission is available at Historic Jamestowne.
Knott's Berry Farm Military Tribute Days offer free park admission to past and present military members from November 1 through November 24 (Thanksgiving Day). Free admission is for a military member and one guest. The Pro Football Hall of Fame annual Veteran's Day Salute happens on Saturday, November 5, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. for veterans, military members and a spouse or guest. Blue and Gold Star Mothers are also eligible for free admission.
